So beautiful! I love the mountains. Trotting around the peaks, crossing glaciers and stay in small huts in the middle of nowhere. Anyone wanna come? :)

The story of my life

When I was 10 years old, my biggest dream was to become an air hostess and to live on a farm in Sweden with loads of horses.

When I was 15, I wanted to become a veterinarian and take care of horses.

When I was 18 I moved out of home and to the very southest of Sweden because I was convinced I hated snow, winter and to live on the countryside. I was also sure I was going to become a proffesional dinosaur expert.

At the age of 19, I moved back home, fed up with the raining in the south, realized that snow was kind of cozy after all, but still aiming to get away. I gave up my dinosaur dream. After all, the're all dead anyway.

Two years later I found myself living in London, working as a bartender and had a second job as a hostel receptionist. I'd leart spanish in South America, lived in Spain for a while, and also squeezed in some post office work back home in between.

Now I'm 23, I'm currently living in Oslo, contemplating a carrer whithin either the tourism industry or health care. I love snow and winter sports, I'm going to walk the great wall of China, I want to see Australia and New Zealand before I'm 30, I'm going to climb the Kilimajaro, I'd love to go to Tibet to see Mt Everest (not necessarily climb it, maybe an easier peak nearby), and I want to see the Bajkal lake (is that the name?) in Russia.

Isn't it funny how much you change as you grow older?

Ive got a place!!

Found a room in a really nice house, I can stay there for up to 2 months. Gives plenty of time for Jeanette and her boyfriend to find a flat for us to move into. Greeeat!
And work went really quick too today. It´s sooo nice not having to socialize with people all the time, and I don´t have to wear tonnes of makeup to make more money either. Fantastic! Let´s see how long I´ll like it. Wanna bet? :)

Wohoo, I´m officialy living in Oslo now! :D

So it goes.

Hello my fans (i.e. Marie... ;))!

So work is going fine so far, very, very easy. All I have to do is take a wooden crate, place it on the truck, drive around between the shelves and collect all the stuff people have oredered, print some labels and place it by the exit. Done! Next! I can't believe (and I'm not complaining either) they're paying me 125 norwegian kroner per hour. That's about 135 swedish kronor, and around 10 british pounds. Fabulous!

What else? Not much. My life is all about finding a place to stay and to get into the habits of working again. Pratty boring actually. I'm sure that once I get a place, some normal routines and a social life as well it will be a lot more interesting stuff coming up.

I promise I'll let you know about whatever's intersting in my life! :)

Take care all, til next time!

Easy!

Wow, they called me today about a storage job, starting today and going on til december 15th. Not bad! This must be the laziest way possible to find work... Perfect! I was gonna go to the tax office to get a very imoportant tax-card, but I guess I´ll have to save it for tomorrow. They´re even gonna pick me up and drive me there cause I don´t know how to get there yet. Luxury! Wohoo! AND i get to drive a forklift truck, even more fun! :)

Jobhunting and homesearching.

Right now, what I need is a job and a place to stay.

Registered with an employment agency yesterday and they said they could almost guarantee there was jobs for me. And even maybe, that I could get an office-like job since I´d lived in the UK and therefore should be able to translate norwegian texts into english. Picture that. Jennie the office-rat. Hehe... But whatever I get to do that I haven´t done before is good for my resumee, so why not? :)

Also had a look at a room today. The tiniest room in a worn down flat, but somehow it had a good atmosphere going on. And the fact that it´s rediculously cheap and right in the middle of central Oslo makes it very appealing, plus i haven´t actually had my own room for the past year and a half so only that´s luxury...

We´ll see how it goes.

Oslo again

I´m back in Oslo again. The reason why is because I have a job interview today. Wish me luck!

I'm learning!

My most recent project is to learn how to play guitarr. And I'm doing pretty freakin' well too! I'm so proud. I can even handle the barre-chords (ok, I know them, but that doesen't mean I can spell them...)!

Isn't it the greatest feeling when you've learnt something new and realize that you actually can handle it? :) I think so anyway...

Freaky science

I don't know if this is very normal, but then again, I'm not sure I am either so I might just as well say something about it.

I was watching discovery channel the other day. That channel can really freak you out. Now, I'm not talking about those FBI-files programs about psycho serial killers or anything, no no that's fine. I get completely freaked out when I watch shows about the universe. It just makes you realize how incredibly small and insignificant you are as a human being. What actually matters one can wonder? Whatever I decide to do with my life, it won't mean a thing when it comes down to the universe, which is gonna crash down completely sooner or later no matter what, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. Scary.
On the other hand, that also means I can do exactly whatever I fell like, as long as I've got enough funds to stay alive and healthy while awaiting the bitter end!

I could go on and on forever about these things, but it's not gonna make me any wiser so I think it's better just to stop thinking about It, It's not gonna make my life any easier anyway.

So, back to "normal" blogging.

I've got a yoummy chokolate cake baking in the oven, I'm going for a party tonight with some of my old mates, I'm off to Oslo again for some more jobhunting from sunday til don't know when, MSN messenger has crashed for some weird reason, and my cat's deaf and completely incapable of hearing all the millions of mice that dwells under our kitchen sink. We've had to put out traps. Caught three only yesterday.

Thanks for your patience. I don't think I'm as weird as I seem... :)

Here I am:

Ok everyone, this is me!

I tried to upload the picture a few times before but the stupid computer decided to be a bitch and I almost ended up doing something very inappropriate, like punching it. Luckily it changed its mind. Me and computers. In one way I like Mac's, because this kind of thing doesn't happen way as often as it would if I sat down in front of a PC (ok, no offence PC-lovers, I said everytime I use a PC...). Should probably say nothing. Dear iBook G4 might get pissy...

Enough said, I'm out for now.

Testing one twoo..

Hi everyone!

This is mostly just a test, but I promise there will be looooads of interesting stuff coming up shortly. Just be patient...
