Does it work?

I must be a vain, vain girl... I mean, how can you not be vain if you have perfectly manicured nails (including toenails), owns four different types of hair spray for different occations, spends at least an hour in the bathroom every day, own three bags of makeup, uses "holiday skin" lotion, buy perfumes for £40, and really, really craves a £100 worth hair straighteners? (=the princess)

On the contrary I don't have a problem spending months in a camp bed, climbing mountains and sleeping in mini-huts without proper walls in the middle of nowhere, go to the bathroom which turnes out to be a whole in the ground (ok, that one is not a personal preference...) and having a shower with frogs and spiders watching you without panicking. (=the traveller)

Where the heck's the limit in between? Does it exist? Am I a weirdo that actually fulfilles all the criteria for both categories? Hihi, I know, I must be a travelling princess! ;)

Back in the nordic.

I'm here now, just woke up. I will need a good few days rest to recover from my trip. Good it only lasted one week, or I'd be dead.

It was really great to come back again to see that London is still London, and the people are pretty much the same.

I have to admit though, just this very second, it's nice to be back. The sun is shining, sky is clear, I'm going for a loooong walk today to see if I still have any stamina whatsoever left. I think I will enjoy it for about a week before I start getting bored again... I've got a new plan (heeeey, surprise everyone!!). I'm gonna work til christmas, cause that's about when my contract with the company I work for will expire, plus I'll be able to save a fare good deal of money til then. Then I'm gonna go to Australia to visit all the millions of people I know there, and then probably London. I'm gonna try to get into the travel and tourism business to see if I like it, and if I do then maybe I'll try and study something within that subject. Sounds good? Oh yes, I think it's an abso-fucking-loutely (quote, "sex and the city") fantastic plan! :D

Where do I belong?

I'm depressed. Not because I'm in London at the moment, but because I realized how much I miss this crazy place. I love it! I really feel like nordic people don't understand me... I'm a misunderstood misfit. :) Neeh, maybe not THAT bad, but i still feel like this is more me. Hum... I need to reconsider a few things here, seriously.

Anyways, In London, having a blast, so far the best thing i've done since Africa in September. Comparing London to Africa, hehe...

I've passed my cv on to my boss, I think they really want me there! :) Funny thing was, yesterday everybody came to congratulate me because of the job. I dond't know anything... I think I was the last one to find out. Well, could've been worse!

Good news: It's spring!
Good news #2: I'm in a fantastic mood!
Good news #3: I'm gonna try for belt number two (orange) in kickboxing. I don't even have number one yet! :D

Weekend accomplished, all body parts intact.

Yep, you heard me, I'm not hurt. I'm improving. I managed to party for a whole night without falling over even once. Points for me! Wow, that really made me sound like a true alcoholic... Should probably add that I haven't been drinking any alcohol at all for the past three weeks. Even more credit! :)
The best part was probably our afterparty. Me and my neighbour Vegard went crazy with the karaokemachine til about 6am. Do I need to mention my sunday went by nice and slowly by the tv? Also met an english guy at the club, he was on weekendtrip to Oslo with a bunch of friends. His friends had abandoned him though, so we took care of him. He was very good at karaoke too!

Next weekend is coming up, and I'm going to London!! Saturday, geuss how excited I am!? MEGA-excited!

I might get a contract at my current job as well. I'm still contemplating if I want to or not. If I do, I kind of feel as if I'm bound to stay for at least a year. On the other hand, the pay is better, I like the place, and I will know for sure that I have a job as long as I want it. Tricky... It does look like I will take it though. We'll see.

What else? Not much as usual. Working, eating, training. Spring is approaching though, makes everything a lot easier. Now it's actually daylight til about 7pm! Winter in the north is so dark and depressin.

I hate computers.
Why is it that last time I placed my memory card inside the card reader a window popped up and I just needed to choose what I wanted to do, copy the photos ow whatever, but NOW; nothing happens at all? Not even the slightest little indication that there's something going on? And of course I cannot find any other way of finding it either, "portable media devices" contains nothing, I could do it on my good old reception computer in London.

HELP!!?!??!
